This is my home....

Home... I have lived here for almost 30 years, brought home all the babies here, loved, laughed and cried at this address....I have watched my children grow here, now I am watching the grandchildren sprout up....at least I can grow something......

Mama said there would be days like this !

So, you might need a little explaination... I changed my front yard this year, including shrinking my lawn considerably and adding large planters under my trees. I planted flowers and veggies. Well hardly anything grew! Maybe there is just too much shade under the trees or I am a failure, your pick. I even planted hollyhock, that didn't grow, and it will grow in the middle of the road! The corn was added just to add some height , I know it dosen't grow and produce unless it is planted in rows. Well, it grew a little, only about two feet tall to be more specific. This is it, this is my crop, maybe 10 ears in all. Isn't the ear of corn beautiful ???? I won't go out and build a roadside stand yet......

creativity

So, does clearing your mind, or maybe your house breed creativity? Today I am all alone at the Casa and I love it. I made these cute necklaces a couple of nights ago, with the help of a Miller Lite, and I think they are pretty cute. My girls assure me they are kinda cool too. So today I got around to listing them on etsy, I sell( or try to) under" trailertrash". I have also busted out the ole soldering iron and wiped the dust off and made a few charms today as well. Probably get around to listing those later.

Why women over 40 shouldn't have babies

Because we are old and tired......

A full day of babysitting, mommy is working 10 to 8:30....A pretty good day, not to much drama, only one bloody nose when the hug fest with the dog went awry....Here is my plan of attack, just keep feeding them, everyone is happy when they eat, right?

Revelation

As any of you know ,who know me, I am lucky enough to have a job that I really love, and my boss is pretty easy on the eyes, so work is a breeze.
Last summer I used to bring a lunch a few times a week and share with him, nothing special, just salads mostly, but they were pretty good and I guess most of us women just like to watch people eat what we have prepared and hear comments like " this is heaven." So yesterday I was thinking out loud " Why haven't I made lunch this year, it was so yummy and kinda fun to pull everything out of the cooler, kinda like a picnic?" Well then I remembered what has changed in my life from last year to this. LOTS... Last summer this time I had three kids at home, that was it..and pretty much maintenience free at thier ages too. And myself as well, for a total of 4. This summer I have 4 teenagers, my grown daughter and her two babies......Is it any wonder that I even have time to sit down and write this?

Dog Day afternoon

Sooooo, school starts tomorrow for three of the four still living here.
Mary is a senior and Caleb and Jacob freshmen. Alec is doing the homeschool thing, as in his terms he is a "super senior".... Yahoo!!!!!
As if that weren't enough excitement my little girl puggie has a "friend" over for a couple of days....Pe'Le is so excited about his prospect of getting lucky that he keeps vomiting, which I am sure has a different effect on canines as it does humans. Maybe he thinks it will endear her to him and she will grant him favors....if not there is always AI......
So today final count at my house is..
Kids....4, Friends....3, Grandkids....2,dogs...4 and there is always room for more.....Did I hear someone say "crazy" or is it just the voices in my head?
